MadeInEdmtn Presents: Yelloween

MadeInEdmtn Presents: Yelloween

Happy Tuesday everyone! How was your Halloween weekend? I spent my Halloween at MadeInEdmtn‘s Yelloween and had a blast! It was such a different way to spend Halloween compared to the typical pubcrawl or house party, that I really wanted to share it with you all.

The venue, Old Timer’s Cabin, was the perfect venue for a Halloween party! The wooden walls covered in webs made a spooky yet welcoming fall atmosphere. Other decorations were created with the help of some of the MadeInEdmtn team (aka. Keenan Pascal, Andrea Willson, and myself), and as you see below, we had a great time getting down-and-dirty in pumpkin guts and spray paint.

For my costume, I was Cleopatra, and instead of wearing white, I took a modern, edgy take on her, and wore all black and gold. If you didn’t know, I LOVE making jewelry and having one-of-a-kind accessories, so I made my headpiece and body-chain from scratch.

At the event, I did my thing, aka. interviewed people in my little interviewing station that I loved. IMG_20131102_052246

The “talk show” type platform was really exciting to me, because if I could have any job in the world, it’d be hosting a show. I interviewed many interesting people with a variety of professions, hobbies, and opinions about Edmonton! The dj played hiphop, reggae, r&b, etc. and after I was done interviewing, I had to bust out some moves haha.

Thanks for checking out my blog and have a great rest of your week! Take care!
