Hey yall! How are you!? Thanks for poppin’ by my blog on this lovely Thursday. I hope you are well, healthy, happy, and being true to yourself. A couple weeks ago (Oct 4th) I went to an Edmonton charitable gala called the Ruby and Rhinestones Cocktail Gala. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw me post about it live in my IG story as well as a photo of my outfit! Well, I am spilling the tea on the event! Ruby and Rhinestones was a gala dedicated the support of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
It was held at the Epcor tower downtown, right on the 16th floor (where the view is AMAZING). I loved that the gala used fashion as a way to spread awareness on the C&C Foundation and the effects of the diseases. For entertainment, there was a silent auction, a fashion show (my favorite part), performances, a photobooth, and of course, cocktails and the cutest popcorn bar!
Below I grabbed photos of my favorite outfits that were showcased at the event. These photos were taken by Jinks Montenegro, a photographer at the event. The clothing was provided by local Edmonton boutiques (my fave was Shop Resort) and modelled by local Edmonton models (including Grayli Marshall (in the Colombian jeans) who’s an up & coming YEG model! Haaayy girl)! The gorgeous lady in the red dress on the top right is Teryn Carliagliamlio of Once in a Lifetime Wedding & Event Planning. This whole event was planned and executed by her. She did an amazing job, got a room filled with good people, and kept us all entertained from start to finish. Check out the hashtag #RubyGala here to see more photos from the event.
My outfit! This dress is a piece you’ve seen before. I wore it to the Fashion Against Cancer Fashion Show about four years ago and decided to take it out for a spin haha. I paired it with a pair of red sock boots from Aldo and kept hair and makeup sleek and simple. Yes… the photo of me laying on that bench is in the lobby of the Epcor tower. Side note, not related to the event, they have a bunch of beautiful artwork and such a gorgeous set up! I couldn’t help but embrace a mini photoshoot when no one was around!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed it and I wish you an amazing day. PS. What is your Halloween costume this year?! It’s next week and I don’t have one yet!!
