#OOTD: My Fluffy Feather Friday!

img_9215

Happy Friday! How was your week? Hopefully you enjoyed it! Today I’m posting outfits featuring this gorgeous fluffy feather jacket from Tiffany Blue – The Designer Consigner. I wore it like a poncho or shawl over my shoulders (not using the sleeves) but it’s actually a jacket. I love how dramatic it looks, just like dark lipstick, it’s perfect for fall! There’s a few other designer items from the consignment store that I mixed with some of my own clothes in these photos. I did two looks, they’re very similar, but the second one is a more dressy and formal look compared to the first. Full outfit details for each look are below.

edited2.jpgHey everyone! Happy Friday and more importantly, happy Earth day! I know this is off-topic, but I had an amazing time at Rihanna’s concert on the 20th! It was amazing; I’m forever in love with Riri. If you went, I hope you enjoyed it! It’s been SO beautiful here in Edmonton, I was so happy to walk around yesterday on a very, VERY sunny morning to shoot for this post. Continue reading “#OOTD: Striped Wide Leg Trousers ft. #YEGSpotlight: Crush and Co.

Happy Thursday everyone! Wooh, today I thought I’d spotlight one of my favorite boutique/boutique owners, it is a boutique on the west side of Edmonton called Crush & Co.! Yes, I’ve collaborated with them a few times already and just love the team as well as their clothing and makeup artistry! If you didn’t know, my makeup is always done by Nina in any Crush & Co. feature, she seriously does an amazing job everytime! Check out some of my day hanging out at Crush & Co.!

Crush & Co. is owned by the lovely Nina Nguyen who started the store with just a makeup station and had no idea that the rest of it would turn it into a clothing boutique. Nina’s journey to where she is now is a great story if you ever stop by and ask her (which I suggest you do!). She didn’t know she was going to be into makeup until she started at MAC, and seven plus years later, she’s still doing it! The store used to be her mother’s bridal boutique that Nina was not interested to have as her own business, so all bridal is now on the upper level of Crush & Co. Nina always had a love for fashion however, and was always a hustler! When she was younger she’d sell her clothes out of the back of her car and her friend’s kept asking for MORE because they loved her style. It was this realization that she decided, with personal touches, selling clothing (in addition to doing makeup) would be the perfect plan. And I’d definitely have to agree…IMG_2192 Continue reading “#YEGSpotlight: Crush and Co.”

All About Navy! [Featuring Crush & Co. Boutique!]

DSC_9482Hey everyone! This past Sunday I had the chance to again shoot with some of my fave people from the local Edmonton boutique: Crush & Co. They are located on the west side and if you’re from anywhere else in the city, they are well worth a shopping trip! Don’t get it twisted though, fellas check out the website… there is a huge selection of clothing for men.

The full outfit, including accessories(minus the boots and purse), is from Crush & Co. The beautiful and bold two-toned navy blue coat is perfect for cool fall and winter days, and is definitely a statement piece. It has a felt/tweed type of texture on the outside, and has a one-hook closure. There is some utility with a pocket on each side. It is also very comfy! Which is something some structured coats do not offer. This jacket is currently at the boutique, so check it out, there is literally only a few left. I must admit, I loved the professionalism this look gave off.

I wore a matching navy and white Daniel Wellington Glasgow watch to compliment the coat. Crush & Co. has a bunch of Daniel Wellington watches if you are a fan of this brand 🙂 They are excellent quality and super stylish, yet very minimalistic. Continue reading “All About Navy! #OOTD: Maxi Skirts and Floppy Hats!

FloppyHat 2Hey everyone! I’m SO happy that it’s finally getting HOT outside! This past weekend I went home to visit the fam, and the lake has FINALLY melted! So we thought, what a perfect day to do some blog photos! I decided to start wearing some of my summer outfits, and for the next three blog posts, it’s going to be all maxi everything and all hat everything. I’ve gotten really obsessed with floppy hats and, mine aren’t too floppy, but they are made of straw, which I felt was very suitable for summer! Continue reading “#OOTD: Maxi Skirts and Floppy Hats!”
