#OOTD: My Power Outfit (Faux Fur For Fall)

Happy Tuesday! It’s October 17th…can you believe how fast October if flying by?! I hope you’ve been enjoying my YouTube videos lately (watch them by clicking here and make sure to subscribe!), I’ve been filming and editing to provide a larger variety of fashion and beauty related content on my blog. Taking photos of outfits I have styled is still a love of mine which … Continue reading #OOTD: My Power Outfit (Faux Fur For Fall)

#OOTD: Kinda Casual…Kinda Glamorous

Happy Tuesday! If you’re like me, you’re just getting back from a long weekend (Family Day Monday!). I just got back from my 11 day trip in Halifax and let me tell you, after witnessing five feet of snow fall in one night in the east, I’m happy to be back in Alberta. As you see in my pics taken yesterday, we have barely any snow left, if any at all (fingers crossed it stays this way)! Halifax was fun though, for many reasons! Anyways, I called this OOTD post “kinda casual…kinda glamorous” because, well, it kinda is BOTH.

This outfit is great for a date, going for lunch with friends, shopping, or going to a concert. This blouse was originally hip length, but I cut the bottom half off because Continue reading “#OOTD: Kinda Casual…Kinda Glamorous”

Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

IMG_2989Hey everyone! This past Tuesday, Dapo (aka Lord Ski Photography) and I decided to take advantage of the freshly fallen snow and have a winter photo shoot. His friend Frank came along as his assistant. We took a few photos on the very top of a parkade that overlooked Edmonton’s beautiful downtown skyline, but we were shortly kicked off by a security guard…really though?! That didn’t stop us from getting nice shots at the City Hall, The Art Gallery of Alberta, and a park downtown. It as fun, I wouldn’t have spent the afternoon any other way…other than switching the temperature from -14C to +14C!

We also did something different this time… an outfit video! Shot and edited by Lord Ski Photography. Continue reading “Walking in a Winter Wonderland!”

Ways to Wear: Slouchy Cardigans for Fall!

CardiganIMG_9267Helloooo September! Yes, I know. We’ve already passed the first week of September, and I’m not just saying that. To be honest, I felt like August wasn’t over yet! I mean, what? Where did summer go? Two days ago I woke up with snow flakes hitting my window!

Anyways, I wanted to suggest a GREAT way to stay warm, while looking effortlessly cute. I’m all about spending money on items that I KNOW I will wear often, have versatility, and stay in style, and today’s item is: slouchy, wool cardigans!

You’ve probably seen them in your favourite clothing store, or in the windows of so many stores at the mall, but seriously, they are inexpensive (usually around $25-$70 a piece, ranging with quality and brand) and are actually so versatile. I have five or six of them, some you will see in the photos below, and when I go to school or work everyday, I just rotate through the colours.

They come in different lengths, thickness, colours, fit, patterns, prices, and they’re also something you’ll keep in your closet for years to come. You can wear this cardigan with leggings, jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, and rompers, and in any pretty much any season. They look best with a simple top underneath, such as solid colours or a pretty basic patterned top. The thickness, colour, or texture of the cardigan should affect your decision for what to wear underneath. You don’t want anything clashing. However, the point of these cardigans is to keep your outfit-choosing time simple and less complicated!  Continue reading “Ways to Wear: Slouchy Cardigans for Fall!”

#OOTD: White on White on White!

All white is a classic, timeless look that you can really wear anytime during the summer! What I love about wearing all white is that it’s bold, but a subtle kind of bold. You’re noticeable but not obnoxiously flashy, and it just looks clean, simple, and classy. Don’t get me wrong, you can still be ratchet wearing all white, haha, like if it’s too thin and see-through… but ANYWAYS, this is a look that I hope would inspire anyone that wants to wear all white. This past weekend I put together this outfit because I’m STILL undecided about what to wear to the Tastemakers’ Jive Glasshouse Garden Party tomorrow afternoon, which I will be hosting and interviewing people at! Check out the look below, details under photos as usual! For information about attending the Jive Glasshouse party tomorrow, official invitation is at the bottom of this post! Thanks 🙂

#OOTD: Double-Slit White Maxi Skirt

Crop Top

Photos by my mama.

I love the sun, the water, and the beach! Unfortunately, as you see above, the lake has not fully thawed out yet lol.

A trend we’ve seen come in over the past year was maxi skirts and maxi dresses, which is a perfect way to be sexy, feminine AND comfortable, so thank goodness for maxi skirts! For my OOTD, I thought I’d pull out my double-slit, white maxi skirt for the first time, and pair it with a simple, baby blue crop top. No shoes in this outfit since it’s on the shore lol. However, some nice white, beige, or matching blue wedges would complement this outfit very well, for when you’re out and about, trying to NOT get your feet dirty lol. This look can also be worn at an outdoor festival, event, on a date at a casual restaurant, and a lot more! Hope you like it 🙂 Continue reading “#OOTD: Double-Slit White Maxi Skirt”

Ways to Wear: Camo Pants!

Hello everyone! Happy Mother’s Day! The outfits I will be posting will be medium-priced clothing that you can find in Edmonton and most stores across Canada, or online. You might find out soon enough that I’m a HUGE fan of Aldo and Dynamite. So don’t be surprised when you see those stores mentioned often lol. I want to give people looks that they can just see and know where to find, and go get them, because often times, I find I like so many fashion blogger’s outfits, but everything seems to be from stores we don’t have here, or online with damn shipping costs, or pieces that are TOO designer and I’m like ugh, she should show us the lower-priced version!

My mom took the photos, so thanks to her, and Happy Mother’s Day, Ma! I hope you all enjoy these, and let me know what you think!

My first one will be on camouflage pants! Here we go…

Camo Pants 2

The first look is a little bit of a conservative look. You can wear this at work, if you do retail or work in an office, or even going out for dinner! Continue reading “Ways to Wear: Camo Pants!”
