Happy Monday! Wooh, another day week has started bringing us closer to September. I am HOLDING ON to wearing white, I don’t care if Labor Day is coming up. As long as the scenery is vibrant and snow isn’t on the ground… I’m wearing it. In this #OOTD I’m wearing something I haven’t worn in a few years: a mini-skirt. Yup, not a pencil skirt, … Continue reading #OOTD: Sunday Funday In STRIPES
Hello everyone! Here is an #OOTD & a #FlashbackFriday at the same damn time! I finally graduated university about two months ago! It was a great weekend spent with the people I love. I am so very happy to have finished a degree… Continue reading “#OOTD: My University Grad!”
The snow is finally melting and the sun is shining! Spring is coming! One of my very favorite things to wear when it’s at that “just warm enough to get away with no jacket” weather is a big wool statement sweater. My mom actually pulled this sweater for me from out of her wardrobe. It’s from back in the late ’80s, so I’d call that vintage! I love love love the red on it and thought I’d pair it with a red leather purse (also my mom’s from back in the day). Thanks Ma! Full outfit details at the bottom, and thanks to my Dad for being my photographer! XOXO.
Hey everyone! This past Tuesday, Dapo (aka Lord Ski Photography) and I decided to take advantage of the freshly fallen snow and have a winter photo shoot. His friend Frank came along as his assistant. We took a few photos on the very top of a parkade that overlooked Edmonton’s beautiful downtown skyline, but we were shortly kicked off by a security guard…really though?! That didn’t stop us from getting nice shots at the City Hall, The Art Gallery of Alberta, and a park downtown. It as fun, I wouldn’t have spent the afternoon any other way…other than switching the temperature from -14C to +14C!
We also did something different this time… an outfit video! Shot and edited by Lord Ski Photography. Continue reading “Walking in a Winter Wonderland!”
Helloooo September! Yes, I know. We’ve already passed the first week of September, and I’m not just saying that. To be honest, I felt like August wasn’t over yet! I mean, what? Where did summer go? Two days ago I woke up with snow flakes hitting my window!
Anyways, I wanted to suggest a GREAT way to stay warm, while looking effortlessly cute. I’m all about spending money on items that I KNOW I will wear often, have versatility, and stay in style, and today’s item is: slouchy, wool cardigans!
You’ve probably seen them in your favourite clothing store, or in the windows of so many stores at the mall, but seriously, they are inexpensive (usually around $25-$70 a piece, ranging with quality and brand) and are actually so versatile. I have five or six of them, some you will see in the photos below, and when I go to school or work everyday, I just rotate through the colours.
They come in different lengths, thickness, colours, fit, patterns, prices, and they’re also something you’ll keep in your closet for years to come. You can wear this cardigan with leggings, jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts, and rompers, and in any pretty much any season. They look best with a simple top underneath, such as solid colours or a pretty basic patterned top. The thickness, colour, or texture of the cardigan should affect your decision for what to wear underneath. You don’t want anything clashing. However, the point of these cardigans is to keep your outfit-choosing time simple and less complicated! Continue reading “Ways to Wear: Slouchy Cardigans for Fall!”
Hey everyone! One thing I’ve been looking for, for awhile, is a romper. If you don’t know what a romper is, it’s basically a onesie. Bright colours are really welcoming to the eyes, great for summer days AND nights, and turn heads. This is why I REALLY love this romper. It’s a subtle way to stand out in a crowd full of little black dresses, or typical sundresses! Continue reading “#OOTD: The Romper!”
All white is a classic, timeless look that you can really wear anytime during the summer! What I love about wearing all white is that it’s bold, but a subtle kind of bold. You’re noticeable but not obnoxiously flashy, and it just looks clean, simple, and classy. Don’t get me wrong, you can still be ratchet wearing all white, haha, like if it’s too thin and see-through… but ANYWAYS, this is a look that I hope would inspire anyone that wants to wear all white. This past weekend I put together this outfit because I’m STILL undecided about what to wear to the Tastemakers’ Jive Glasshouse Garden Party tomorrow afternoon, which I will be hosting and interviewing people at! Check out the look below, details under photos as usual! For information about attending the Jive Glasshouse party tomorrow, official invitation is at the bottom of this post! Thanks 🙂

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be sharing three all-white outfits! Not only that, during the summer, it’s always great to wear white because it gives off a fresh vibe. I decided to show you three very different outfits. All with different themes: Fun & Flirty, Sexy & Independent, and Minimalistic! Whether it’s a warm or breezy day, you can look dope in all white! Just make sure to not spill red wine all over yourself haha. Today I had some adventures with my roommate, and since I had my parent’s Canon SLR camera in my possession, I made it an opportunity to finally get some new content up! I decided to try to do some of my own photos, it was a very sunny day today in Edmonton and was definitely causing some over-exposure! I tried to make them as good of quality to my capabilities lol. Anyways, I hope you like them! Enjoy!
1. The Fun & Flirty Look This look is very light and flowy. I’d definitely suggest it for an outdoor event, or a picnic at the park! I’m wearing a double-slitted white maxi skirt, plain white crop-top from Garage, my white floppy hat, some white gladiator sandals from Aldo, and a gorgeous, turquoise necklace from Aldo, as well! Continue reading “Ways to Wear: All White Everything!”
Hey everyone! I’m obsessed with maxi dresses and skirts, they are so easy to wear and honestly, so breezy and perfect for hot days! I decided to showcase one of my hobbies in this post along with the outfit. I make jewelry, and a LOT of jewelry. It’s something that I would like to focus more on in the future, as less of a hobby, but for now, I’m gonna bury myself in my homemade jewels! The necklace on it’s own looks just like this, all made by me (except the chains, I purchased from Wal-Mart, Michaels, or took apart old necklaces I was bored with). The colors in the picture of the necklace on me are a little off, the blue is more like the one of just the necklace itself. If you ever want one, I sell them by request, but I’m pretty busy, so I don’t really advertise outside of word-of-mouth or friends.
Just let me know by email (IYGAshley@gmail.com) and voila! I’ll make what you want.
Thanks for stopping by and check out the rest of the outfit below!
Hat – H&M
Maxi Dress – Bebe
Heels – Aldo
Clutch – Guess
Watch – Michael Kors
Necklace – Me
Hey everyone! I’m SO happy that it’s finally getting HOT outside! This past weekend I went home to visit the fam, and the lake has FINALLY melted! So we thought, what a perfect day to do some blog photos! I decided to start wearing some of my summer outfits, and for the next three blog posts, it’s going to be all maxi everything and all hat everything. I’ve gotten really obsessed with floppy hats and, mine aren’t too floppy, but they are made of straw, which I felt was very suitable for summer! Continue reading “#OOTD: Maxi Skirts and Floppy Hats!”
