Hey everyone! I know, I know… you’ve probably already watched ten or more YouTubers rant and rave about Rihanna’s new Fenty Beauty line. Ever since the day of release was announced I knew I was going to be dropping some serious coin on some items, because 1) she’s my favorite and 2) the makeup looked beautiful. On the day of release I purchased seven items … Continue reading Pt. 1 Fenty Beauty by Rihanna | Full Face Tutorial
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are doing very well. Right now I’m sitting at work on my lunch, looking out a window. You know what I see? GREY. Grey clouds creating a grey-hued view making me want to do nothing but go back into my bed and watch Netflix. Speaking of Netflix, I just finished watching the first seasons of “Friends from College” and “Dear … Continue reading New Video: Giving A Makeover For the First Time!
Hey guys! Yes, I have FINALLY uploaded a new YouTube video…. a little over 2 years since my last one… let’s not talk about how unnecessary that gap of time was. Anyways, it’s a pretty basic look. I’m still getting used to filming makeup and probably won’t be too often…but it was fun and I’ll for sure be doing it again! All products are labeled … Continue reading Warm Neutral Eye Makeup Using Tartelette in Bloom Palette
Happy Friday! Yesterday, as you can tell from my lack of jacket in the photo to the left, it was b-e-a-utiful out! Well, still chilly, like -3C but that’s doable. My outfit was pretty artsy, if you could have seen the whole thing from the front…I didn’t end up liking those photos though, so you’re just getting a side view, haha. I also cropped out the bottom because the muddy-snowy ground was not helping out the overall photo. FYI, I was wearing black leather ankle booties!
As you can see my hair is in two large cornrows…I did this on my own hair and fed in some braiding hair to make the length longer, took me about an hour, but I’ve known how to do cornrows since I was around 11 years old, so it may take longer for those that have never done them. Just keep practicing or get a friend to do it! Here’s my video on how to do the cornrows (click here) and here is the video I used to learn how to add in the braiding hair (click here). Anyways, on to the point of this post…wearing a fur vest… Continue reading “#OOTD: When Wear A Fur Vest?!”
Hey everyone! YES I have FINALLY made a new video! This is my first video filmed on my Canon Rebel T3i and it’s SO much better than the Mac Book webcam…amiright!? LOL. This hair tutorial has been one I’ve been wanting to make ever since I first did this hair style in early 2013 when I had long hair!
All you need to do this hairstyle are:
- 30-50 Perm Rods
- Styling Cream (optional)
- Bobby Pins (TONS)
- Water to spray
- Strong hold hairspray
- Fine comb
- Sectioning hair cilp
Video is at the very bottom of this post! Please tag me in any photos of you doing this hairstyle! I’d love to see the result! Below are photos of me with the hairstyle!
Here are photos from my hair after I did this video (shoulder length hair):
Happy New Years everyone! It is OFFICIALLY 2015! I hope you all had an amazing holiday! It has officially been ALMOST two months since my last post…super not cool. Something that is cool though is that I have finished my degree! WOOH. I’ve been relaxing with family and friends the past few weeks, working, soul searching…..ANYWAYS, it’s time to get back to blogging! Vacation is over! LOL.
I wanted to write about how to stay motivated to keep blogging once you’ve started. Yes, this will be more of a reading-type blog post rather than the usual visual and style ones (so if you don’t like reading, scroll and see the pics and goodbye!). I wanted to share tips on things I’ve learned to stay motivated to keep blogging and how not get discouraged when things don’t take off as fast as you’d have liked! Remember, your blog will only become a success if you have a passion for doing it. If it’s a chore to you and you’ve never enjoyed blogging, quit now. Continue reading “Got Bloggers-Block?!”
Hello everyone! One of my favourite no-heat hairstyles is just simple, wavy hair! I don’t like how regular braids just get the lower half of the hair wavy, so I do big cornrows all around my head to get the waves started from the roots! You can also do french braids instead of cornrows, but I prefer the texture the cornrows gives the waves! In … Continue reading Hair Tutorial: Big Cornrows + No-Heat Waves For Days!
Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a great Easter weekend. Today I just wanted to make another “tips” blog, and this time about lipstick. So many people don’t realize not all lipstick is for everyone and I’m just going to list a bunch of stuff that I know from myself learning through experience, other people’s tips, and just through observations of other ladies. Why should you listen to my tips? Well you don’t have to, but I just wanted to share my knowledge and help some of you out 🙂
1. Moisturize them lips before putting on lipstick. Whether it’s with chap stick, or Vaseline, and also, in the summer, make sure your chap stick has some SPF in it to protect it from the sun if you’re outside for hours. Also stay hydrated by drinking lots of water.
2. Use an exfoliating scrub or dry bristle tooth brush to get RID of dry skin and flakes on your lips during the cold months. Continue reading “7 Tips for Beautiful Lips!”
