Hey there! I hope you are doing lovely today. A couple weekends ago, myself and Janelle Lawton put together a fashion show and market in downtown Edmonton. It was called: Style in the City! The purpose of the event was to bring out Edmonton’s local designers, boutique owners, and of course, an audience that loves supporting local! I had the honor of MC-ing the event, which was a … Continue reading Style in the City: The Fashion Show and Market!
Happy Friday! How was your week? Hopefully you enjoyed it! Today I’m posting outfits featuring this gorgeous fluffy feather jacket from Tiffany Blue – The Designer Consigner. I wore it like a poncho or shawl over my shoulders (not using the sleeves) but it’s actually a jacket. I love how dramatic it looks, just like dark lipstick, it’s perfect for fall! There’s a few other designer items from the consignment store that I mixed with some of my own clothes in these photos. I did two looks, they’re very similar, but the second one is a more dressy and formal look compared to the first. Full outfit details for each look are below.
Hello everyone, happy Labour Day! How’s your summer been? I know many of you are starting school tomorrow! I haven’t posted an outfit for about four months (unless you count Instagram), so as you can tell, mines been a little…occupied. Jewel Sofia took up a lot of my time and I just finished my last market of the summer yesterday! I’ve also been just enjoying my summer! … Continue reading #OOTD: Fall Transition with Kate, Elizabeth and James!
Happy Wednesday, my people! I got some great feedback on my last post (click here to see it) and I’m so happy to be back blogging on the regular (aka weekly). I’ve got another post for you, as promised: part 2 of my collaboration with Whyte Ave boutique Lucid Lifestyle. So, last week the weather in Edmonton was ON POINT…I mean, these photos were taken at 11am and it was already like 20 degrees Celsius…unfortunately it’s been FREEZING these past few days so this outfit may need a little more time to pass now to be suitable for the outdoors haha. Continue reading “#OOTD: Pink & Whyte ft. Lucid Lifestyl (Pt. 2)”
Hey everyone! Happy Friday and more importantly, happy Earth day! I know this is off-topic, but I had an amazing time at Rihanna’s concert on the 20th! It was amazing; I’m forever in love with Riri. If you went, I hope you enjoyed it! It’s been SO beautiful here in Edmonton, I was so happy to walk around yesterday on a very, VERY sunny morning to shoot for this post. Continue reading “#OOTD: Striped Wide Leg Trousers ft. Lucid Lifestyle (Pt. 1)”
Hi there! Happy Monday funday! Hope you had a lovely Easter long weekend with friends and family; whether you celebrate Easter or not, Continue reading “#OOTD: My Dad’s Bday!”
Hello there! Hope yall having a great day. I am currently in Prince Edward Island having a mini vacay! How is it on the east coast? It’s a little quieter and spacious than back home, that’s for sure.
As many of you know (if you follow me on IG, Facebook, Twitter, or just know me personally) I have created a handmade jewelry company called Jewel Sofia. You can find images of all my items on the website and where/how to purchase! I’m really excited about this new adventure, it’s been a longtime dream of mine and I hope and pray you all love my items too.
Anyways, here is a simple look I put together to showcase some Jewel Sofia bracelets. Neutrals look great with a splash of color, which is what I did here. Without any accessories, this would just be a boring, camel colored midi dress, however, I spiced it up a little by adding the main color of teal to the mix. With the teal in the shoes matching the bracelets and necklace, it almost makes it pop more than if I just had one or the other. Enjoy the photos! Note: it was extremely sunny on this day which is why my eyes are squinted or not looking at the camera haha.
Happy Friday! Yesterday, as you can tell from my lack of jacket in the photo to the left, it was b-e-a-utiful out! Well, still chilly, like -3C but that’s doable. My outfit was pretty artsy, if you could have seen the whole thing from the front…I didn’t end up liking those photos though, so you’re just getting a side view, haha. I also cropped out the bottom because the muddy-snowy ground was not helping out the overall photo. FYI, I was wearing black leather ankle booties!
As you can see my hair is in two large cornrows…I did this on my own hair and fed in some braiding hair to make the length longer, took me about an hour, but I’ve known how to do cornrows since I was around 11 years old, so it may take longer for those that have never done them. Just keep practicing or get a friend to do it! Here’s my video on how to do the cornrows (click here) and here is the video I used to learn how to add in the braiding hair (click here). Anyways, on to the point of this post…wearing a fur vest… Continue reading “#OOTD: When Wear A Fur Vest?!”
Hey everyone! For my Canadians out there, how was your August long weekend? I just wanted to share this quick look I wore, about a week ago, to a little blogger brunch I went to with a few fellow Edmontonian bloggers! It was TONS of fun, lots of conversation about blogging, style, web servers, and random topics to do with whatever! I decided to dress up a little, I LOVE dresses, and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll also have seen these shoes about a MILLION times…they’re just so comfy and the neutral beige fits with just about any outfit. Anyways, enjoy the photos below, thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely Tuesday!

Happy Saturday! Just thought I’d post my outfit of the day because I just felt super feminine and comfy wearing it. This is my first time wearing all these pieces on my blog, but trust me, you’ll see them many times in various ways. Outfit details below. Continue reading “#OOTD: Rainy Day!”
Happy Monday everyone! Right now in Edmonton it is currently Western Canada Fashion Week. I used to walk in it regularly a couple years ago when I was about the Freelance Model life, but haven’t done it in a while…until this past Friday! Yes, a few days ago I walked down the runway for Nyoluoch Designs by Julia Otieno. Nyoluoch Designs is a Canadian clothing line based in Calgary, AB. I love her designs, they are classy and sophisticated, yet still fitted and sexy! Very fun to wear.
Happy Thursday everyone! Wooh, today I thought I’d spotlight one of my favorite boutique/boutique owners, it is a boutique on the west side of Edmonton called Crush & Co.! Yes, I’ve collaborated with them a few times already and just love the team as well as their clothing and makeup artistry! If you didn’t know, my makeup is always done by Nina in any Crush & Co. feature, she seriously does an amazing job everytime! Check out some of my day hanging out at Crush & Co.!
Crush & Co. is owned by the lovely Nina Nguyen who started the store with just a makeup station and had no idea that the rest of it would turn it into a clothing boutique. Nina’s journey to where she is now is a great story if you ever stop by and ask her (which I suggest you do!). She didn’t know she was going to be into makeup until she started at MAC, and seven plus years later, she’s still doing it! The store used to be her mother’s bridal boutique that Nina was not interested to have as her own business, so all bridal is now on the upper level of Crush & Co. Nina always had a love for fashion however, and was always a hustler! When she was younger she’d sell her clothes out of the back of her car and her friend’s kept asking for MORE because they loved her style. It was this realization that she decided, with personal touches, selling clothing (in addition to doing makeup) would be the perfect plan. And I’d definitely have to agree… Continue reading “#YEGSpotlight: Crush and Co.”
